Ah - loaded the pictures when the line was very smooth and was thinking should i blog it? should i blog it?
Coz these are very simple things but then it caught my eye haha but then, its so simple, we probably can find it in West Malaysia itself...but still it caught my eye...0.o la di da...
Anyway, to save everyone anymore from the torture of my inner soul, here goes! :)
1.
Postcard Buying at the Post Office KKFish & CW insisted that they want to get postcards from KK to post to themselves in West Malaysia.
We couldn't think of anywhere to buy postcards from - so we went to the Post Office? 0.o

The officers are quite confused when we walked in asking to buy postcard rather than to post postcards haha
Oh i found out that nowadays Post Office are quite diversified as they sell mooncakes too!!! Offering to deliver the moon (presumably it meant mooncake) to you! :)

Surprisingly, the postcards sold in the Post Office was actually pretty nice.

But unsurprisingly, there's no more stock to it. So ya...Fish & CW still have to search at some other places in the end 0.0

2.
Bas Berhenti-henti This is the bus station of KK town.
Actually, it feels more like a lot of bus stops accumulated at one place rather than a bus station...

Or a bus carpark...0.o (or should it be called a 'bus'park?)

But i find this cute - Bas Berhenti-henti!
...obviously meaning that it will stop at all the different bus stops in between rather than one shot to the destination 0.o

Funny way to call it thought...and i realised i can't remember how we call it here...0.o
This is the 'bus' out of KK town ... Hmm...i wonder how they will charge us...

3.
Going, There, Gone Museum KK
The strange a bit too triangular mosque stuck in between of 2 buildings in the middle of the busy town 0.o

After the bus dropped us, we have to walk along this 'dark water' (and stinky one too) to reach the Museum back door - our game at that time, to guess whether there are actually any living thing inside 0.0

Muzium Sabah! :)
Very cooling to stand near there to take picture because you can feel the sprinkling water!

Expectations are pretty high nowadays with this economy even with tea leaves collector 0.0

The entrance to the Heritage Village (psst we actually came out from here because you-know-who was leading the group haha)

Ah this tree! Does this tree meant to represent anything?
The angular side profile does look in a way like a old Red Indian leader face...

I think la...what say you? 0.0

The heritage houses here are actually recommended by Wikitravel.

Have i mentioned earlier that there's a lot of mosquitoes? haha

This is supposingly the interior of a Chinese farm house.

...and this a Burmese Long House...

The steps are NOT user friendly at all. Can only walk sideway to be stable...

Welcome! Konichiwa! haha

BTW, i wonder how they define 'privacy' in a long house 0.0
4.
Fishball Noodle (Literary)Kedai Kopi Yuan Li is recommended by my hostel master :)
Plonked in the middle of the old town - pretty near to Gaya Street.

The shop apparently is famous for its noodles which taste like fish ball itself.

Apparently its recommended in the Star Guide - Street Food.

I personally think noodles are just ok ....only ...very small portion though...

But the curry is fantastic - probably much better than any curry i tried before! :)
So if you come here and eat - do order curry version.

5.
Names When i was in KK, i find a lot of their signboards very interesting - haha - the names are so convenient...
Like this one below - in chinese - its called 'kai xin lu xing shi' (meaning 'Happy Tours & Travel')
Quite apt - tour must be happy 0.0

Then i spotted this abandon construction site in town where ...look at the engineering company name!
Takeoff Engineering! Gosh...i hope they don't takeoff at the wrong time!

...and this Hotel really striked out haha...Hotel Holiday...
Does it mean if i'm there for work, i can't stay here? 0.o

6.
Seafood Luggage
It's pretty popular for people who come to East Malaysia to bring seafood here back.
Usually bigger, fresher and much cheaper...we too proceed to check out this seafood shop :)

See, the seafood are already ice-cubed together for the convenience of packing...

...and yes, they do packed it very nicely for you so that you can carry it as a hand luggage! :)

TK said that the seafood in the local markets in KK are much cheaper though...
Hmm tell me so late haha...maybe anybody going to KK can go there and check out instead!

7.
Taking Pictures at KK Waterfront
KK Waterfront is actually quite nicely 'decorated' :)
Having a stroll there during the sunset is quite nice - with fishing boats parked nearby, local people going back to the islands in Sampan, birds, sunset breeze...islands...
It has a very strange serenity to it even though its along town centre.

Ah...was very very excited when i caught side of this stoke at this branch near the waterfront...
...and was trying so hard to drag PC over to take picture before it fly off without making noise...

Nice har....it seemed to have difficulties flying high and long though 0.0

8.
Goodbye!
OK, that's the end of KK (for this time la)...;)

I promised. You don't have to hear anymore of it haha...

Whoooooooshhhhhh back home!
